Big quarter earns Medina first lacrosse win
Snapping a season opening three game losing streak, Medina used a huge third period scoring burst to key an 11-7 victory over host Depew in a Class D Division lacrosse game this evening.
Trailing 4-2 at the half, Medina erupted for 7 goals in the decisive third period to rally into the lead for good 9-6.
Gavin Dahlhaus, Jake Dunn and Cole Callard each scored 2 goals and Lucius Wagner 1 for Medina in the deciding period.
Callard and Dahlhaus also netted big insurance goals in the final period.
Wagner and Luke Duffina scored the Mustangs first two goals of the evening in the second quarter.
Dahlhaus and Callard both finished with 3 goals, Dunn and Wagner 2 and Duffina 1.
Medina next visits Lew-Port at 11 a.m. Saturday.
