Two big scoring innings powered defending champion Barker to a 23-0 win over Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park this evening.
Barker erupted for 7 runs in the second inning as Peyton Bradley had a three-run triple and 11 runs in the fourth frame as Elise Monaco had a two-run double and a two-run single and Lexi Brazzell a two-run single.
Bradley finished with a total of 4 hits as Monaco and Madelina Pavlock both had 3 and winning pitcher Madyson Flint 2.
In the circle, Flint hurled a 1 hitter with 14 strikeouts.
Barker is now 4-0 and Medina 0-3 in N-O action.
Akron 16, Newfane 15
Akron (1-3) outlasted Newfane (1-4) 16-15 scoring the game winner on a walk off single by Kenadee Jonathan in the seventh inning.
