Big inning sparks Lady Rams past Mustangs
A big early inning scoring burst keyed Roy-Hart to a 19-6 victory over Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park this evening.
Breaking away from a 1-1 tie, Roy-Hart took control by erupting for 11 runs in the third inning highlighted by a two-run double by Maria Peracciny, a two-run single by Emma Livergood, an RBI double by Shelby Wolf and an RBI single by winning pitcher Reanna Perkins.
Roy-Hart also scored five times in the sixth inning as Molly Russell and Peracciny both had two-run singles.
Perkins, who also banged out a solo home run in the fifth inning, struck out 12 in the circle.
Russell, Wolf, Peracciny, Perkins, Scott and Livergood each finished with two hits.
Paige Adkins had a two-run homer and Hannah Kenward a double and single for Medina.
Roy-Hart is now 6-3 and Medina 4-6.
Wilson 2, Albion 1
Wilson edged past visiting Albion 2-1 as Tori Pawlak had two hits.
Wilson is now 5-3 and Albion 4-5.
Section V games ppd.
The Red Creek at Lyndonville and Kendall at Byron-Bergen Section V Class C2 playoff games were postponed due to the rainy weather and are scheduled to be made up on Wednesday.
In a Class C 1 opening round game No. 3 Red Jacket defeated visiting No. 14 Holley 17-0.

Wilson 8, Newfane 2
Conner Ernest pitched a 4 hitter and Michael Miller and Noah Yernye both banged out a pair of hits to lead Wilson past rival Newfane 8-2.
Brady Harrington had a to-run single for Newfne.
Wilson is now 4-5 and Newfane 3-5.
The other two scheduled N-O games – Akron vs. Roy-Hart and Barker vs. Albion – were both postponed. The Barker at Albion game is scheduled to be made up on Wednesday.
