Big inning sparks Kendall ‘9’ past Pembroke
A big early inning scoring burst sparked Kendall to a 9-5 victory over host Pembroke this afternoon in a Genesee Region League baseball game.
Trailing 3-0, Kendall erupted for seven runs in the second inning to take the lead for good. A two-run single by Jorden Ostrander and an RBI single by winning pitcher John Rath keyed that uprising.
Hunter Menze finished with 3 hits for the Eagles as Ostrander and Mason Kuhn both had 2.
Rath allowed 3 hits and struck out 11 on the mound.
Now at 2-2, Kendall next hosts rival Holley at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
