Big inning lifts B-B past Lyndonville

One big scoring inning keyed Byron-Bergen to a narrow 6-5 win over host Lyndonville in a Genesee Region League softball game this afternoon.

Leading 1-0, Byron-Bergen erupted for five runs in the decisive third inning aided by four errors.

Lyndonville did rally for two runs in both the third and fourth innings and one in the seventh but could not pull even.

Briana Krisher had a key double in the third inning and Chloe Stinson a single in the fourth. She had two hits on the day. Ella Lewis singled in the seventh and came home on an error.

Lyndonville, which next hosts Attica on Monday, is now 1-2.
