Big first quarter keys Purple Eagles romp

A big four touchdown first quarter scoring burst keyed Albion to a 39-12 victory over visiting Burgard this evening in an interdivisional game.

Quarterback Bryce Pritchard sparked Albion’s fast start running for 2 touchdowns on carries of 29 and 3 yards and completing a 37 yard TD pass to Nate Moore. Isaiah Callicutt added a 4 yard touchdown run to complete that barrage. A 24 yard Pritchard to Kevin Hillman pass completion keyed that drive.

Pritchard, who was 8 of 10 for 191 yards on the evening, also hooked up with Moore for a long 89 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Moore had 4 catches for 132 yards.

Thomas Furmanski scored on a 1 yard run in the fourth quarter to round out the Purple Eagles scoring parade.

Defensively, for Albion, Ben Restivo had 7 tackles and Donamic Farley and Ugene Harrison both had 6.

Now at 3-0, Albion next hosts Depew on Friday in a B2 Division game.
