Fast start sparks Lady Tigers in G-R opener
Exploding for nine runs in the first inning, Lyndonville went on to defeat host Alexander 25-8 in the Genesee Region League softball opener this afternoon.
A triple by Lorelei Dillenbeck and a double by Brianna Krisher highlighted the decisive first inning for the Lady Tigers.
Lorelei Dillenbeck, Krisher and Addison Dillenbeck each had 4 hits on the day for Lydonville as Brooke Robinson and Alexa Robinson each had 2. Lorelei Dillenbeck’s hits included a double and two triples as Brooke Robinson and Addison Dillenbeck both had doubles.
Lyndonville next visits Elba on Friday.
Notre Dame 19, Medina 1
Notre Dame downed Medina 19-1 in a non league game at Vets Park.
Sonji Warner and Loretta Sorachty both had 4 hits and Mia Treleaven 3 for Notre Dame which scored 11 runs in the fourth inning.
A single by Lorelei Sanders drove in Medina’s lone run.
Kendall 30, Holley 7
Kendall bested rival Holley 30-7 in another G-R opener as Brooke Rodas and Danielle Offhaus both had 4 hits, Emma Quintern 3 and Makaila Abrams a home run. Rodas’ hits included 3 triples and 5 RBI and Offhaus’ a triple and 3 RBI.
