Big first half powers Kendall to win

A big 50 point first half scoring surge keyed Kendall to a 79-65 win over Destiny of Rochester in the consolation game of the Holley Tournament this evening.

Kendall jumped out to a 19 point, 23-4, first quarter lead as Dale Steffen scored 11 and Derek Edick 8 to lead the uprising.

The Eagles increased their lead to 27, 50-23, at the half as Steffen stayed hot scoring 13 more. Edick and Mason Kuhn each chipped in with 5.

Kendall maintained an 18 point, 64-46, advantage at the three-quarter mark and Destiny could get no closer than 12 down the stretch.

Steffen finished with a game high 28 and Edick 20 as Kuhn had 10, Noah Walzer 8, Zach Barrett 7 and Riley Hirshman 6.

Mark Hart scored 24, Jimmes Clark 20 and Naveire Hamilton 13 for Destiny.
