Bees roll to win over Purple Eagles

Improving to 17-2, Byon-Bergen downed host Albion 79-55 in a non league game this evening.

David Brumsted poured in a game high 30 points to lead the way for Byron-Bergen. Brendan Pimm added 12, Gianni Ferrara 10, Ryan Muscarella 9, Carter Prinzi 6, Colin Martin and Brodie Baubie 5 and Alec Kulikowski 2 for the Bees.

Blake Preston scored 16, Javon Jones 12, Amari Jones, Aquil Gaffney and Dylan Narburgh 7 each and Nick Harling, Caleb Fox and John Eibl 2 each for Albion which is now 8-10.

Breaking away from a 15-15 deadlock at the end of the first period, Byron-Bergen used a 24-15 second quarter scoring edge to open up 39-30 lead at the half. Brumsted scored 6 and Pimm and Martin 5 each to lead that Bees surge.

Byron-Bergen then broke the contest wide open by erupting for a 30-10 third quarter scoring edge to race away to a commanding 29 point, 69-40, lead heading into the final period. Brumsted tallied 15 to lead that decisive uprising.

Albion next visits Akron on Wednesday to close out the Niagara-Orleans League season.
