Beach hazards statement issued for Orleans, Niagara counties
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Beach Hazards Statement for Orleans and Niagara counties for today from 11 a.m. through 9 p.m.
The Weather Service said strong currents will make for dangerous swimming conditions.
“Stay out of the water and stay away from dangerous areas like piers and breakwalls,” the Weather Service said.
Today is forecast for a high of 68 with a chance for showers, mainly between noon and 4 p.m.
