“Battle in the Ville” and N-O All League wrestling tournaments on Saturday
Saturday will be a big wrestling day both at Lyndonville and Albion.
Lyndonville will host the annual “Battle in the Ville” Duals Tournament.
The host Tigers will face Pittsford at 9 a.m., St. Mary’s of Lancaster at 10:30 a.m., CSAT at noon, Webster Schroeder at 1:30 p.m. and Rush-Henrietta at 3 p.m.
Albion will host the annual Niagara-Orleans All League Tournament beginning at 10 a.m.
Newfane, which has captured the N-O title the last eight years in a row, posted a 5-0 record during the regular season while Medina went 4-1, Wilson 3-2, Roy-Hart 2-5, Albion 1-4 and Akron 0-5.
Alexander 39, Lyndonville 27
Alexander downed host Lyndonville 39-27 in a Genesee Region League wrestling match Thursday evening.
Max Heckman, Carson Lear, Benjamin Merrill and Kaden Lyons all had pins for the Trojans.
Brody Hazel, Payton Grabowski, Allan Heideman and Sam Doolan all registered pins and Christian Garver had a decision win for the Tigers.
