Batavia Rampart icers remain undefeated

Breaking a scoreless tie in the second period, the Batavia Ramparts won their seventh straight game, defeating Olean  4-0 at today in a Western New York Amateur Hockey League game.

Scoring for the Ramparts were Max Hutchins (Notre Dame H.S.), Zach Geitner (Brockport), Drew Bower (Akron) and Vinnie DiRisio.  Corey Saj (Medina) assisted on Geitner’s goal.

Zach Howard in goal recorded his fourth shutout.  He has only allowed four goals this season, while his teammates have scored 60.

On Saturday, the Ramparts played a scrimmage game against the Monroe County Bantam AA and came away with a 10-1 victory.   Saj had four assists, while Dominic Peracciny of Roy-Hart scored a goal and had two assists.

Next weekend, the Ramparts visit Cazenovia on Saturday evening and then travel to Erie, Pa. for a Sunday contest.

Tri-County Pee Wee Travel team
The Tri-County Pee Wee Travel team defeated Batavia 7-0 Saturday as Carson Bader of Albion had 3 goals and 2 assists. Other local players on the team include Hayden Watt, Joshua Exposito and Maija Young.

Today, the Pee Wee team dropped a narrow 3-2 decision at Lockport.
