Medina dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to host Batavia this afternoon in a non league season opening tennis match.

Kristian Snyder at second singles and Nate Pace at third singles both scored straight set wins for Medina.

In the first singles match Batavia’s Jeff Redband downed Ben Howell.

The Mustangs also took the third doubles match with a win by the duo of Tom Horgan and Michael Cardone.

Medina is scheduled to open defense of its Niagara-Orleans League title Monday at Akron.
