Pulling away with an error aided inning, Batavia went on to defeat visiting Medina 7-2 this afternoon in a non league baseball game at Dwyer Stadium.

Leading by a narrow 3-2 margin, Batavia scored three times with two out in the bottom of the fourth inning to break the contest open. A two out error opened the door for that decisive uprising.

Medina had scored twice in the top of the fourth on singles by Brett Riemer and Alex Allis and a double by Tyler Ames to pull to within one but the Mustangs could not score again.

Medina, which had a total of only 4 hits on the day, next visits Wilson in a non league game at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
