Batavia 2 rallies past Albion
Unable to hold an early lead, Albion’s U16 team dropped a 6-2 decision to Batavia 2 Wednesday evening in a Batavia League game.
Albion jumped out to an early 2-0 lead scoring once in the first on a single by Bryce Kelly and once in the second on a triple by James Denencourt.
However, Batavia 2 first rallied to tie the game with 2 runs in the third inning and then to take the lead for good by scoring 3 walk aided runs in the sixth.
Albion also got hits on the evening from Patrick Ricker, Deyonci Farley, Dylan Fox, Drew Caldwell and Bailey Blanchard.
Now at 3-4, Albion next faces Lyndonville at noon Saturday at Batavia.
