Basketball, wrestling practices get underway

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – The belated winter high school sports season shifted into high gear this afternoon as practices for Niagara-Orleans League and Genesee Region League boys and girls basketball teams and G-R wrestling squads got underway. Here Medina varsity Coach Eric Hellwig, at right, works on a drill with his players. Hellwig has taken over the Mustangs reins for Tom Forrestel who is not coaching this season due to Covid-19 concerns. The Mustangs are scheduled to open the N-O season at home against Barker on February 12. Click here to view video from practice.
