Barre, Elks/Rotary, Sandstone and Elba ‘B’ score 12U Midget League baseball wins

Barre, Elks/Rotary, Sandstone and Elba ‘B’ all scored wins in Albion Midget League 12U Division baseball action Tuesday.

Barre 17, Holley ‘B’ 4
Barre scored 6 runs in both the first and second innings to take control early.

Hudson Armer, Jace Wright and Jacob Knowlton shared in handling the pitching duties for Barre.

Hits by Jeremy Rivera and Jackson Spencer helped plate 4 runs in the fourth inning for Holley ‘B’.

Elks/Rotary 7, Carlton 0
Evan Coots registered 16 strikeouts on the mound for Elks/Rotary

At the plate for Rotary, Jackson Frasier had 2 hits and Gavin O’Brocta and Michael McElwain 1 each.

Luke Bedford and Caden Woolston combined to register a total of 13 strikeouts on the mound for Carlton.

Oliver Beryle, Gavin Standish, Demetrius Ryan-Mincey and Hank Aina all had hits for Carlton.

Sandstone 15, Holley ‘A’ 0
Sandstone scored 6 runs in the second inning sparked by hits by Eli Spada and Eli Johnson. Spada and Johnson along with Bryce Saxton later all had hits during a 5 run fourth inning.

On the mound, Saxton and Giavoni LaMartina combined for 12 strikeouts.

Brody Yark pitched 6 innings of scoreless ball for Elba ‘B’ as Aiden Downs had a single and a home run to lead the offense.

Camden Reigle pitched 6 innings for Elba ‘A; and also hit a double.
