Barre Cubs win 9U Midget League playoff title

Rebounding from an early deficit, the Barre Bears rallied to down Rotary 7-4 in the recent Albion Midget League 9U playoff championship game.

Rotary jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead on base hits by Jeremy Lutes, Jackson Frasier and Ryan Coots.

After a pitching change in the second inning , Jace DiMatteo held Rotary to just two hits in 3 innings allowing for Barre to make a comeback.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning Barre rallied for 3 runs on hits from Hudson Armer, Luke Snyder, Kyler Bennett and Easton Neri.

Then in the bottom of the 5th Barre scored 4 insurance runs off of the bats of Liam Saparito and  Neri.

Rotary did mount a comeback in the bottom of the sixth on a home run by Jayden Rivera, a base hit by Frasier along with a run scoring double by Coots.

However, Armer was able to seal the win on the mound closing out the last batter and securing the championship for the Barre Cubs!
