Barre captures Albion Midget League’s 12U Division playoff championship

Regular season front-runner Barre completed a sweep by capturing the Albion Midget League 12U Division playoff championship with an 11-1 victory over Hamlin ‘A’ this afternoon at the Midget League Field.
Hamlin ‘A’ took a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a triple by Mike Allen.
However, Barre answered right back with three runs in the home half of the first on a three-run triple by Luke Snyder to take the lead for good.
Barre then broke the game wide open by erupting for 8 runs in the fourth inning on a three-run triple by Hudson Armer and RBI hits by Owen Legan and Robbie Hickman.
Thailer Seibert pitched the first five innings for Barre allowing 1 hit and striking out 8. Brody Furness came on to hurl the sixth inning and complete the win.
Ryan Warner pitched the first three innings for Hamlin ‘A’ registering 8 strikeouts.
