Barker, Wilson netters post wins

Barker edged past Newfane 3-2 1/2 and Wilson downed Roy-Hart 4-1 1/2 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League makeup tennis matches.

Barker is now 5-3 on the season, Wilson 4-3, Newfane 1-8 and Roy-Hart 0-8.

Barker swept the three singles matches as Sean Benoit defeated Jeremy Ribbeck 6-2, 6-4; Tristan Payne downed Jeff Hamm 6-2, 6-0 and Brian Hefferon shutout Terrell Atkins 6-0, 6-0.

Newfane took the three doubles matches as Casey Gregory and Delaney Waik defeated Erik Herian and Emma Duffy 6-4, 6-7, 6-4; Joel Swogier and Nick Kozial bested Nick Fazzolario and Lucy Bautista 4-6, 7-6, 6-1; and Whitney Atkins and Zach Russell downed Patricia Bautista and Paige Fudella 6-0, 6-1.

Wilson likewise swept the three singles matches as Dominic Curcione defeated Valeria Sillar 6-1, 6-4; Gabriel Curcione blanked Jarod Shepard 6-0, 6-0 and Alex Keil downed Elliot Spitzer 6-0, 6-1.

The Lakemen also took the second doubles match as Kyle Lyon and Sean Pazik defeated Jon Eggert and Jamie Swick.

Roy-Hart took the first doubles as Quinn Moreland and Patrick Sheelar defeated Joe Hecko and Kallie Olear.

The Rams also took the third doubles as Kelsey Eldridge and Denzel Flowers downed Molly Peck and Leah Placek.
