Barker, Wilson girls bow in semis
Top seeded Chautauqua Lake romped to a 57-16 victory over No. 5 Barker this evening in the Section VI Class C1 girls basketball semifinals at Jamestown Community College.
Caitlyn Mason scored 6 points and Melissa Grosshans 5 for Barker which trailed 33-4 at the half.
In a Class B2 semifinal, Niagara-Orleans League champion No. 1 seed Wilson dropped a 60-46 decision to No. 4 Fredonia at Sweet Home.
Rachel Senek had 21 points and 8 rebounds and Kayla Neumann 15 points and 9 rebounds for Wilson.
The Class B1 semifinals will be held Wednesday as No. 6 Albion faces No. 7 Tonawanda at 5:30 p.m. and No. 5 Eden faces No. 1 East Aurora at 7:30 p.m. , both games at Sweet Home.
