Barker trims Albion in N-O softball

Defending champion Barker improved to 3-0 in league play by trimming host Albion 4-2 in a Niagara-Orleans softball game this afternoon.
Trailing 2-0, Barker rallied for four runs in the sixth inning to earn the win on a two-run double by Elise Monaco and RBI singles by Kaylee Stoll and Madelina Pavlock.
Albion’s two runs came in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Rori Higgins.
Pavlock and Madyson Flint both had 2 hits for Barker as did Higgins for Albion.
Flint picked up the win in the circle scattering 7 hits and striking out 12.
Alana Irvine struck out six and scattered 8 hits for Albion.
In one other N-O softball game Wilon downed rival Newfane 17-5.
Lucy Madan had 4 hits, including a double and triple for Wilson and Sienna Bowers 3 hits for Newfane.
