A pair of unanswered second half goals earned defending champion Barker a 3-1 victory over Medina this morning in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game at Vets Park.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Rachel Sutter scored what proved to be the game winning goal for Barker three minutes into the third quarter.

Mia Herman later added a big insurance goal for the Lady Raiders when she scored with 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

Barker also scored first as Ella Gooding tallied with 1:12 to go in the second quarter.

However, Medina answered right back as Alex Strong scored the tying goal with just one second to go in the quarter off an assist from Abi Blount.

Barker improves to 6-1 while Medina is 2-4-2.
