Barker tops CSAT in non league contest
Jumping out to an early lead, Barker went on to defeat CSAT 5-2 in a non league baseball game Saturday evening at Medina’s Vets Park.
Capitalizing on a rash of early walks, the Bulldogs grabbed a quick 4-0 lead by scoring three times in the first inning and once in the second.
Barker’s final run came in the sixth inning on a triple by Isaac Monaco which was the Bulldogs lone hit.
CSAT’s two runs came in the fourth inning on errors.
JJ Prynn pitched the first three innings for Barker allowing 2 hits and striking out 5. Logan Flint came on to hurl the final four frames giving up 1 hit and striking out 4.
Now at 1-1, Barker next visits Holley on Tuesday for another non league contest.
