Trailing 1-0 defending champion Barker rallied for a pair of third quarter goals to edge past host Roy-Hart 2-1 this afternoon in a key early season Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.

Cheyenne Stilwell gave Roy-Hart an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the final minute of the first quarter.

However, Barker rallied to tie as Laci Giarla scored early in the third quarter off a corner as Madison Gancasz and Lena Fazzolari earned assists.

Ashlin Cole then netted what proved to be the game winning goal for the Lady Raiders late in the third quarter, again off a corner opportunity, as Mia Herman had the assist.

Barker is now 3-0 and Roy-Hart 2-2.

Akron remained in a tie with Barker for first place at 3-0 by downing Wilson (0-3) 13-0 as Lacey Berghorn and Madison Brege both had the three goal hat-trick.

Akron next visits Barker in another key contest at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

In the other N-O contest, Medina battled to a 1-1 tie at Kenmore which was decided in a shootout.

Faith Vanderwalker scored the Medina goal in the shootout.
