Barker swims to 5 wins at Class C sectionals

Barker had a big five event victory effort at the Section VI Class C boys swim championships held today at Maryvale.

Collin Webb, who earned the Swimmer of the Meet honor, was an individual event double winner for Barker in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Free and Andrew Jenks captured the 200 Individual Medley. Dominic Clementi also placed second in the 100 Breaststroke.

Webb, Jenks and Clementi also teamed up with Adam Wagner to win both the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle relays.

Medina’s quartet of Daniel Heil, Hunter Heil, Ray Paull and Mason Pecoraro took second in the 200 Medley Relay while the Roy-Hart foursome of Will Rickard, Patrick Sheelar, Michael Miller and Madigan Lang placed third in the 400 Free Relay.

Newfane had Thomas Schultz place second in the 500 Free and Zach Lundy second in the 100 Backstroke.

Wrestling Sectionals
Albion had Preston Flugel (138) place third and Ben Restivo (182) fourth at the Section VI Division 2 (small schools) wrestling championships today at Lake Shore.

Medina’s Elijah Sones (195) and Roy-Hart’s Tyler Choate (152) both placed fifth.

Niagara-Orleans League champion Newfane had a pair of winners in Zach Brown (152), who earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award, and Andrew Lucinski (99). Akron’s Jacob Sarow (170) finished second.

In the Section V championships at Brockport, Lyndonville’s Chase Stinson (120) placed fifth while the Holley-Kendall trio of Tristyn Moyer (113), Cade Aina (145) and Dylan Spellan (170) all took sixth.
