Barker scores field hockey win in Pa.
All three goals came off corner opportunities as Barker blanked host Mount Lebanon, Pa. 3-0 this evening in an inter state field hockey contest.
Kelsie Engert gave Barker a 1-0 lead at the half when she scored on a corner off assists from Erika Moeller and Madison Greenwald.
The Lady Raiders then put a lock on the win as Engert and Moeller scored goals off corners in the second half. Engert and Natalie Menz assisted on Moeller’s goal.
Caitlyn Mason made 3 saves to earn the shut out in goal for the Lady Raiders whose defensive efforts also included a key clear by Emma Duffy to turn back a Mount Lebanon scoring opportunity.
Barker next faces Pine Richland, Pa. on Saturday.
