Barker, Roy-Hart win field hockey openers

Barker trimmed host Medina 1-0 and Roy-Hart bested visiting Wilson 9-0 today to open the Niagara-Orleans League field hockey season.
Rachel Sutter scored the lone goal for Barker in the first quarter.
Cheyenne Stilwell scored five goals to lead the way for Roy-Hart as Justine Laverty netted two and Alayna Kowalski and Abby Glyshaw one each.
N-O action resumes next Wednesday with Akron at Medina (6:30 p.m.), Newfane at Roy-Hart (4:30 p.m.) and Barker at Wilson (4:30 p.m).
