Barker/Roy-Hart romps to Homecoming win

Scoring early and very often, Barker/Roy-Hart romped to a 72-38 Homecoming victory over JFK in a C North Division game this evening at Barker.

Carter DerSarkissian scored 6 touchdowns and added 8 two-point conversion carries to spearhead the attack for defending champion Barker/Roy-Hart which maintains a hold on the division lead at 4-0.

Owen Maedl added 2 touchdown runs and Aaron Bowerman 1 for the Bulls.

Barker/Roy-Hart took a 16-6 first quarter lead on touchdown runs of 18 yards by Maedl and 4 yards by DerSarkissian along with a pair of two-point conversion runs by DerSarkissian.

The Bulls held a 40-30 lead at the half after second quarter touchdown runs of 24 yards by Bowerman, 1 yard by Maedl and 27 yards by DerSarkissian who also had three two-point conversion carries.

Tyler Piniewski scored 3 touchdowns for JFK in the first half.

Barker/Roy-Hart built the advantage to 64-38 at the three-quarter mark after third period touchdown runs by DerSarkissian of 9, 5 and 10 yards along with three more two-point conversion carries.

DerSarkissian rounded out the Bulls scoring parade with 15 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as Bowerman added the two-point conversion carry.

The Barker/Roy-Hart special teams also came up big recovering fumbles on three on side kickoffs by Matt Aquilina, Caden Rogers and Billy Jaques.

Barker/Roy-Hart next visits Akron net Friday evening at 7.
