Barker/R-H matmen to open Wednesday

Barker/Roy-Hart will begin tuning up for the Niagara-Orleans League season by visiting perennial Section VI wrestling power Fredonia on Wednesday.
Barker/Roy-Hart will then open the N-O season at Akron on December 11.
Two defending N-O champions, sophomore Brent Bachman and junior Cameron Swick, head Barker/Roy-Hart’s veteran group which also includes seniors Dillon Mangan and DJ Gardner along with juniors Will Jensen, Joe DiMayo, Ryan Ullrich and Kirk Fay. Ulrich and Gardner both placed third at the N-O Tournament.
Barker/Roy-Hart posted a 2-3 record in N-O competition last season.
“The kids are working hard and we are looking to improve over last year,” said Coach Keith Jones.

Jan. 31 – N-O All-League Tournament at Newfane
