No. 3 seeded Barker rallied in dramatic fashion with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to nip visiting No. 10 Portville 6-5 this afternoon in a Section VI Class C semifinal baseball game.

Trailing 5-4, the Raiders pulled out the victory as Jake Meister singled in the tying run and Eddie Wasnock singled to plate the game winner. Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases to set up the opportunity.

Portville had grabbed the 5-4 lead by scoring twice in the sixth inning and once in the top of the seventh to erase a 4-2 deficit.

Winning pitcher Brad Wilson belted a solo home run in the first inning for Barker which also scored three times in the fourth on a pair of errors and a delayed steal to take the 4-2 lead.

Meister and Ryan Voss both had 2 hits on the day for Barker which will now play for the Class C championship at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jamestown’s Dietrick Stadium against the winner of the Allegany/Limestone vs. Frewsburg semifinal.
