Barker places second at X-C sectionals
For the second year in a row Barker has placed second to Maple Grove at the Section VI Class D boys cross-country championship meet held today at Beaver Island State Park.
Two Barker runners, Jake Arnold and Jack Hopkins, placed 7th and 9th respectively to advance to the state championship meet.
In the Class C race, Wilson’s William Schwarzmueller placed 4th to advance to the state meet while Medina runners Daniel Heil and Jack Hill finished 10th and 11th respectively.
The Newfane girls won the Class C race while Akron took the Class C2 race.
The Newfane boys placed second in Class C.
