Barker netters post win over Medina
Barker blanked visiting Medina 5-0 this afternoon to improve to 5-4 in Niagara-Orleans League tennis competition.
Nathan Meza Ray, Matthew Ryan and Willard Nellist all scored singles wins for Barker.
The Raiders also got wins from the doubles teams of Levi Hauser – Cameron Kiner and Lucas DerSarkissian – Thomas Harris.
In another N-O match, defending champion Akron improved to 10-0 with a 4-1 victory over Wilson led by wins at the first two singles spots by Will Chubb and Caleb Suckow.
The Tigers also got doubles wins from the teams of Sean Brennan – Sean OShaughnessy and Will Akin – Mason Towlson.
Akron also shutout Newfane 5-0 on Wednesday and Wilson nipped Albion 3-2.
Chubb, Suckow and Emma Corbett all scores singles wins to lead Akron.
Joey Moote took first singles, Connor Seider third singes and Paul Gast – Taylor Godd Brown second doubles for Wilson.
Leo Bolton won at second singles and the duo of Charley London – Aiden Miller took second doubles for Albion.
