BARKER – Following the Lions International motto, “We Serve,” the Barker Lions Club helped a resident of the Barker community by installing a wheelchair ramp and lift.

In the past, the Lions Club has installed wheelchair ramps. Using that experience they created a new setup for the resident.

In the past year, Barker Lions have installed and maintained a number of wheelchair lifts, provided eye examinations and glasses, helped those who needed hearing aids get tested and aided the Barker Food Pantry.

The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m., with dinner and a speaker. The meetings are at the Lions Community Center on Main Street in Barker.
