Barker grads are now college rivals

Best friends and teammates on league and sectional championship teams throughout their high school careers, Barker High graduates Olivia Denny and Gabriella Clare are now collegiate field hockey rivals.
Denny is a sophomore forward at the University of Rochester and Clare is a freshman forward at SUNY Geneseo. The two recently met for the first time as rivals in a late season non league contest with U of R scoring a 3-1 victory.
Denny, who is a 2014 Barker graduate and Clare, a 2015 grad, played together on the Lady Raiders 2011, 2012 and 2013 Niagara-Orleans League and Section VI Class C championship squads.
Interestingly, their scoring stats are similar for this season as Denny has 5 goals and 4 assists and Clare 7 goals and 2 assists.
