Barker girls top Cleve Hill for first win
Barker snapped a season opening four game losing streak by downing Cleveland Hill 36-29 in a non league girls basketball game this evening.
Jordyn Kinne had 10 points, Alina Riches 8, Hailey Dodge 7 and Elise Monaco 6 to lead Barker. Monaco also had 8 rebounds, Kinne and Riches 7 and Dodge 6.
Wheatland-Chili 45, Lyndonville 41
Wheatland-Chili edged past visiting Lyndonville 45-41 in a Genesee Region League game as Vanessa Guerrero had 17 and Ashanti Caten 11. Guerrero had 5 threes including 3 in the first quarter when W-C jumped out to a 15-6 lead.
Isabella Groves scored 20 and Addison Dillenbeck 11 for Lyndonville. Groves scored 9 in the third period and 5 in the fourth.
W-C led 21-17 at the half and 39-34 after three quarters.
Elba 58, Kendall 35
Building up a 34-16 half-time advantage, Elba went on to down host Kendall 58-35 in a G-R contest.
Mia Price scored 10 and Alea Barrett and Ava LaMay 7 each for Kendall.
Akron 49, Albion 32
Abby Gerstung scored 19 and Lexie Ground 16 to lead Akron to a 49-32 win over Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League game.
Melia Prince scored 9, Kenzie Snook 7 and Aaliyah Jones 5 for Albion.
