Barker downs Notre Dame; Lyndonville romps
Improving to 4-0, Barker bested visiting Notre Dame of Batavia 60-50 this evening in a non league boys basketball game.
Nate Luckman took game high scoring honors with 22 points for Barker as Eddie Wasnock had 14, Jacob Arnold 11 and Austin Sullivan 8.. Arnold also grabbed off 13 rebounds and Wasnock 10.
The Raiders held leads of 13-10 after one quarter, 30-21 at the half and 48-38 at the three-quarter mark. Luckman netted 10 in the third period.
Ryan Moffat scored 12 and Wilson Luo 10 for Ntore Dame.
Barker next hosts Lyndonville in a non league game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lyndonville 60, Akron 29
Eleven players broke into the scoring column as Lyndonville romped to a 60-29 non league win over visiting Akron.
Zach Johnson had 16 and Corey Hydock 10 to lead the Tigers scoring parade as Nathan Poler added 8, Eddie Schildt and Jacob Hoffee 6, Ricky Forder 4, Matt Hess and Josh Tomberi 3, Eric Neace 2 and Dylan Nicholson and JC Diaz 1.
Lyndonville, which scored 15 points in each quarter, led 15-5 after one period, 30-15 at the half and 45-21 at the three-quarter mark.
Maryvale 89, Albion 46
Trailing 16-12 after one period, Maryvale erupted for a 25-3 second quarter scoring burst to key an 89-46 non league win over host Albion.
Lamar Chambers scored 11, Chase Hall 9 and Kory Reynolds 7 for Albion.
