Barker cagers down Albion; Roy-Hart wins

A big stretch run scoring burst keyed Barker to a 70-61 victory over visiting Albion this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League basketball game.

Trailing 46-44 after three quarters, Barker rallied to outscore Albion 26-15 in the decisive final stanza to claim the win. Nate Luckman scored 12, Eddie Wasnock 8 and Jake Arnold 5 to lead the Raiders down the stretch.

Leading by a narrow 64-61 margin, Barker got 6 clutch free throws by Luckman to lock up the win.

Luckman finished with a game high 34 points, including 8 threes, as Wasnock tallied 18 and Arnold 10. Luckman also grabbed off 13 rebounds.

Lamar Chambers scored 19 for Albion as Kory Reynolds and Chase Hall both added 12.

Barker improves to 3-1 and Albion slips to 1-4 in N-O competition.

Roy-Hart 48, Akron 41
Jake Bruning scored 13, Brendon Hess 12 and DJ Davis 10 to lead Roy-Hart to a 48-41 win over Akron in another N-O contest.

Trailing 34-33 at the three-quarter mark, Roy-Hart rallied with a 15-7 fourth prior scoring edge to claim the win. Bruning had a three and 4 free throws during that stretch as Hess and Matt Borel also both hit threes.

Austin Ladd led Akron with 3.

Roy-Hart is now 2-3 and Akron 0-4 in N-O action.
