Barker boys win two to go to 6-0 in N-O X-C

Barker defeated Akron 17-47 and Roy-Hart 16-47 this afternoon to finish the regular season portion of the Niagara-Orleans League boys cross-country season with a 6-0 record.

Roy-Hart (2-4) nipped Akron (15) 27-28 in the other portion of the meet.

The 1-2-3 finish of Mason Allee Castro, Luke Say and Noah Sandolfini led the way for the Raiders.

In the girls meet, Akron improved to 5-1 by downing Barker 28-31 and Roy-Hart 19-41. Barker (4-2) edged Roy-Hart (3-3) 25-29 in the other portion of the meet.

Barker’s Emma Evans won the race with Akron’s Kylie Szczygielski  second and Roy-Hart’s Marissa Bryant third..

In the day’s other tri-meet, the Newfane girls completed a 6-0 regular season by downing Medina 15-46 and Wilson 19-40. Wilson (2-4) topped Medina (1-5) 23-32 in the other portion of the meet.

Newfane’s Kylie Bowman was the individual winner.

The Wilson boys improved to 5-1 by defeating Newfane 26-29 and Medina 21-36. Newfane (4-2) bested Medina (3-3) 21-37.

Wilson’s Jayden Ruble was the race winner.
