Barker boys, Roy-Hart girls sweep in X-C
The Barker boys and Roy-Hart girls both swept to a pair of victories in Niagara-Orleans League cross-country action this afternoon.
The Barker boys stayed unbeaten at 6-0 by downing Roy-Hart 22-29 and Akron 24-35. Roy-Hart also bested Akron 24-35.
The Roy-Hart girls improved to 5-1 by defeating Barker 20-37 and Akron 19-37. Akron also nipped Barker 27-28.
Both Roy-Hart teams had the two individual race winners in Josiah Rodriguez and Taylor Alvord.
In the day’s other tri-meet both Newfane teams scored a pair of wins.
The Newfane boys improved to 5-1 by downing Medina 24-31 and 15–50 over an incomplete Wilson team. Medina also downed Wilson.
The Newfane girls stayed unbeaten at 6-0 by scoring a pair of 15-50 wins over Medina and Wilson which both had incomplete trams.
Newfane’s Liam Betteridge finished first and Medina’s Ryder Jones second in the boys race.
