Barker blanks Pembroke in softball
Jumping out to an early 5-0 lead, Barker went on to blank visiting Pembroke 12-0 in a non league softball game this afternoon.
Madyson Flint had a two-run double to give Barker a quick 2-0 first inning lead. A double by Flint, a single by Kaylee Stoll and a steal of home boosted the Lady Bulldogs advantage to 5-0 in the second inning.
Dodging the rainy weather, Barker later closed out the win with 7 runs in the fifth frame as winning pitcher Peyton Bradley and Elise Monaco both had RBI singles.
Flint, Stoll and Lexi Brazzell each finished with a pair of hits.
In the circle, Bradley allowed 3 hits and struck out 10.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 4-1.
The Kendall vs. Notre Dame softball and the Newfane vs. Albion baseball games were both rained out.
