In action here from a regular season meeting Barker’s Lena Fazzolari brings the ball up field against Roy-Hart defenders Ashton Becker (13) and Justine Laverty (10).

No. 2 seed defending champion Barker will take on a very familiar foe in the semifinals of the Section VI Class C field hockey playoffs as the Lady Raiders will face No. 3 Roy-Hart at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson.

Barker nipped Roy-Hart twice during the Niagara-Orleans League season by the identical narrow margin of 2-1.

This will be the third time in the last four years that Barker and Roy-Hart have met in the Class C semifinals. Barker won the previous two meetings by scores of 2-0 last fall and 2-1 in 2017.

The other semifinal will have top seeded Akron taking on No. 4 Eden at 5 p.m. Saturday at Alden.

Akron will be looking to avenge a narrow 1-0 loss to Eden in last year’s quarterfinal.

The championship game is scheduled for Monday at a site and time to be determined.

Akron and Barker shared the N-O title with identical 11-1 records. A coin flip was then held to determine the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds.
