Banes scores softball win in the rain and mud
Playing in the rain and the mud, Banes Plumbing/Banes Machine Shop downed Kozy Kab 16-2 Monday evening in a Medina Women’s Softball League game.
Trailing 2-1, Banes took charge by erupting for 8 runs in the third inning on singles by Connie Heschke, Kathy Allen, Amy Allis, Robin Blaun and Lindsay Chatt along with doubles by Sue Seefeldt and Jami Chatt.
Banes then put a lock on the win by scoring 6 runs in the fourth frame on singles by Jen Masse, Allen, Jami Chatt, Allis and Blaun and doubles by Lindsay Chatt and Patti Page.
Jami Chatt finished with 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, as Blaun, Kathy Allen and Amy Allis each added 2 hits.
