Banes, Jr. Wilson 1 score softball wins

Banes swept to a doubleheader victory over 810 Meadworks by scores of 24-2 and 19-7 and Jr. Wilson 1 downed White Birch 17-9 in Medina Women’s Softball League action Monday evening.

Banes got 4 hits from Jen Masse and Lindsay Chatt in the opener as Connie Heschke, Amy Allis, Patti Page and Morgan Allis each added 3. Morgan Allis’ hits included a home run while Masse had a double and triple and Heschke a double.

In the second game, Morgan Allis and Kathy Allen both had 4 hits and Chatt and Rileigh McCabe 3 each. Chatt’s hits included 2 home runs, Allis’ a home run, Allen a double and home run and McCabe a double and triple.

Jr. Wilson’s 1 17 White Birch 9
Erupting for 7 runs in the top of the 7th inning, Jr. Wilson’s 1 came away with a comeback win.

Down 8-5 in the top of the 6th, Jr. Wilson’s scored five runs on eight hits, including a 3 run home run by Stormi Kruger.

Jr. Wilson then tacked on seven runs in the top of the 7th to stay on top for good. Jessica Rosenbeck had a 3 run home run, Kruger added another home run, and Jr. Wilson’s banged out six more hits.

White Birch scored three runs in the 3rd on a double by Maddy Boyle, and five runs in the 4th inning on six hits. Kenzie Muck finished with three hits for White Birch.
