Banes hands Vets first softball loss
Scoring in every inning but the first, Banes Machine Shop/Banes Plumbing handed Vets its first Medina Women’s Softball League loss by a score of 16-11 Monday.
Robin Blaun had five hits, Jen Masse and Kathy Quackenbush three and Jessica Carpenter two to lead the weay for Banes which improves to 3-1.
Blaun had a two-run single and Kathy Allen a two-run double in the third inning to get Banes rolling.
Blaun, Masse, Jenny Odessa and Connie Heschke then all banged out singles to highlight a five-run fourth inning.
Banes capped off the win with four runs in the seventh as Donna Bane, Quackenbush, Taylor Piskorowski, Carpenter and Sue Bane all had singles.
