Banes completes 12-0 softball title season

Completing a perfect 12-0 regular season, champion Banes Machine Shop/ Banes Plumbing defeated Jr Wilson 11-6 Monday in a Medina Women’s Softball League A Division game.

Four run scoring bursts in both the first and third innings keyed Banes to the win.

A home run by Lindsay Chatt and a triple by Robin Blaun highlighted the first inning uprising which also included singles by Connie Heschke and Sue Seefeldt and a sacrifice fly by Kathy Allen.

A home run by Jen Masse and a triple by Chatt then sparked the third inning burst which also included singles by Seefeldt and Allen.

Banes later put a lock on the win by scoring three times in the fifth on singles by Seefeldt, Masse, Allen and Blaun.

Seefeldt finished with a total of 3 hits as Masse, Allen, Blaun and Chatt each had 2.

Banes next completes in the A Division playoffs on Saturday at Jr Wilson.
