Banes and Jr. Wilson 1 score softball wins

Clinching at least a tie for the regular season ‘A’ League title, undefeated Banes downed Hemp House/Meadworks 810 9-4 in Medina Women’s Softball League action Monday evening.

Jr. Wilson 1 stayed in the title chase at 8-2 by downing NYSCOPBA 28-7.

Morgan Allis had 3 hits and Jen Masse and Lindsay Chatt 2 each for Banes which improves to 10-0.

Banes took the lead for good by scoring 4 quick runs in the first inning as Connie Heschke, Lindsy Chatt and Jami Chatt had hits.

A three-run third inning, sparked by a leadoff single by Lindsay Chatt, later helped to lock up the win.

Jr. Wilson’s I – 28 NYSCOPBA – 7

Jr. Wilson’s I scored 10 runs in the second inning and 15 in the third en route to a run rule victory over NYSCOPBA.

Butchie Stockwell led the team with 4 hits, while Jacklyn Rodriquez, Stormi Kruger, Jodi Zacher, Penny Roath and Jessica Rosenbeck all had 3 hits. Rosenbeck’s hits included two home runs.

For NYSCOPBA, Chloe Stinson had 3 hits, including a triple, and Courtney Gaylord had 2 hits, including a home run.
