Banes, Bent Opera House, Jr. Wilson 1 win
Improving to 4-0, Banes downed VFW 16-4 Monday in a Medina Women’s Softball League contest.
Lindsay Chatt went 3 for 4, Jen Masse 3 for 4 with a double, Kathy Allen 3 for 4 and Jami Chatt 3 for 4 with a double to lead the offense for Banes.
Two big scoring innings keyed the win for Banes which tallied 5 runs in the third inning and 6 in the sixth.
A double by Sue Seefeldt along with singles by Jen Masse, Allen, Jami Chatt, Amy Allis, Grace Masse keyed the third inning uprising.
A home run by Morgan Allis started the big sixth inning which also included singles by Lindsay Chatt, Seefeldt, Allen and doubles by Jen Masse and Jami Chatt
In another Women’s League game, Bent Opera House won a tough a battle against Mera Hair Co. 19-14.
Bent Opera House offense was lead by Suzy White, Cathy Schmitt and Jen Merle.
Mera Hair sparked their offense in the 3rd inning by consecutive hits tying the game up! Bent Opera House was ignited by a huge relay from right center field from Heather Tower to Kelly Jo Pritchard to Alishia Foss for the out at 3rd.
The previous week Bent’s Opera House beat Genesee Feeds on a strong offensive performance. Kelsey Schmitt, Cathy Schmitt, Jen Merle and Alishia Foss leading the way with hits with a triple capped off by Suzy White.
Jr. Wilson 1 25, Jr. Wilson 2 3
It was a battle of the Junior Wilson teams Monday and Jr. Wilson 1 came out victorious over Jr. Wilson 2, winning 25-3.
Jr. Wilson 1 got out to a hot start in the top of the first, scoring 10 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks. Sara Flansburg banged out a two-run triple to lead the way in the first. Chasity Chinn had a grand slam, Jodi Zacher added a two run triple in the fourth, and Michele Crandall was 2-4 with a double for Jr. Wilson 1.
Jaclyn Guzdek also had a double for Jr. Wilson 1 and Jessica Rosenbeck added two hits.
Stormi Kruger and Jenn Thom both had doubles for Junior Wilson 2.
