Balys earns conference academic honors

Holley High graduate and Alfred State freshman Erik Balys has been named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Academic team for the 2019-20 academic year.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team a student/athlete must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.2.
Balys, who is a defender on the Alfred State soccer team, is majoring in Heavy Equipment Operations.
During his scholastic days at Holley, Balys earned Genesee Region League All-Star soccer honors. He was also a sectional place finisher in wrestling.
