B East All-Star honors for Purple Eagles

Three Albion players have been named to the first team of the B East Division All-Star football squad.

Representing the Purple Eagles are senior tight end Kory Reynolds, senior offensive lineman Nathan Trembley and junior linebacker Tommy Mattison.

Mattison had 887 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns on offense and 51 tackles on defense.

Reynolds caught 17 passes for 164 yards and 4 touchdowns on offense and made 75 tackles on defense. He was runner-up for the division’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Trembley is a finalist for the Trench Trophy, whichh is given to the top offensive lineman in Western New York.

Albion also placed four players on the second team including senior quarterback Kyle Smith, senior wide receiver Trey Hart, junior offensive lineman Jared Hollinger and senior defensive lineman Mike Laine. Smith passed for 810 yards and 8 touchdowns and rushed for 345 yards.

Four Albion players also received Honorable Mention including seniors Tyler Rotoli and Manwell Taylor, junior Tony Rotoli and sophomore Meach Gardner.
